Some say home is where your heart is. Others say its where you lay your hat. You might say its where your family ?gathers. Others still may say that home is where your true love is. ?For Lizzie and Steven its all of the above. ? Currently living in?Ipswich?Australia (house is high and dry ? phew!) and both from Canterbury ? well sort of ? Lizzie and her family have a long list of places they have called home ?- they decided to come home ?to Swananoa and marry in Lizzie?s parent?s beautiful garden.
As?the?families gathered ? one thing I learnt very quickly was that these families are close and it ?wasn?t long before I felt like a family member too as I was surrounded by these fun-loving and?beautiful?people.
This is the smile that says ?I?m getting married!?
Rowena still looks as glam today as the day she got married.
First looks are so special ? especially between fathers and daughters.
Next door we were able to use a historic homestead for photos ? a private residence and absolutely breath-taking. An perfect place for bridal portraits and in between skipping happily between rooms and making photographer sounds about the light ? Lizzie was effortlessly beautiful .
Originally Steven was going to wait until Lizzie?s 21st to propose ? however on a prior visit home last year, the time was simply right. ?Lizzie?s 21st is actually on Wednesday ? so looks like they?ll have more than a birthday to celebrate!
Steven ? looking pretty smart.
Brother Scott almost didn?t make it to the wedding as he too is based in Queensland?and?was delayed with the?floodwaters.
The ceremony was choc full of love, emotion and one or two tear-drops.
After the ceremony, Steven?s parents arranged for the release of bright balloons.
Like seriously ? how totally gorgeous are these two?!!! ?
The closeness and love of these two families was again evident with the speeches ? plenty of laughter and tears and heart-felt words.
Lizzie and Steve ? your day was fabulous! ?The two of you were so much fun and I wish you both a safe trip back to Oz, and Lizzie ? a Super Happy 21st on Wednesday!!!! ?Hopefully we will see you back home in a few months time.
