Dallas, TX ? August 1, 2012???Cengage Learning, a leading global provider of innovative teaching, learning and research solutions, today announced that its employees will be participating in the annual Cengage Learning Cares: Rise and Shine Charity Challenge during the company?s national sales meeting taking place at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas next week. Employees will donate money to participate in a session of group exercises and calisthenics to the music of Michael Jackson at The Sculpture Park on the hotel grounds. Cengage Learning will be matching employees? donations and the money raised will be split between two local charities ??Promise House and Teach For America. Over the last three years, this event has raised more than $250,000 with more than 1,000 employees participating in last year?s event alone. Click here for a recap of last year?s events.
This year?s donation checks will be presented to charity representatives the following day at a luncheon at the hotel. Speakers will share details about the impact of the donations and employees will learn more about how the money will be used by the organizations.
